Asset Allocation - Adding Classifications and Holdings

Follow

Morningstar data is used to classify a ticker when adding positions in accounts, however, there may come a time when you disagree with how Morningstar classified one of your holdings, or perhaps there was no classification offered by Morningstar at all.

In these cases, you can edit the holding in question and change all of its parameters. These changes are saved in the specific account, and you will not need to reapply them every time that data is refreshed (as it is the case with most data integration feeds).

When you are in the Account Details of an account you have the ability to add Symbols in the Summary Tab.

Once you have the position you want to add select add.

You will be able to see the position listed on the bottom of the summary tab and the edit bottom to the right of the position to be able to edit the asset class.
